We have no clue! It seems to vary widely between the insurance companies. If you own an insured motorcycle, you MAY be covered on a rental motorcycle. You will need to check with your insurance or credit card companies. An additional insurance is entirely up to you.
We do our very best to insure that breakdowns will not happen. But if you have a breakdown or you feel the motorcycle is unsafe to operate, make a phone call to our emergency phone, and we will take care of the problem.
Yes, every motorcycle has a safety and mechanical inspection daily prior to every rental. All vehicles are maintained to manufacturer’s specifications and our technicians are very well acquainted with all rental motorcycles. All motorcycles have «MICHELIN CITY GRIP» tires, (voted after tests as the best scooter tire). Safety is our #1 priority.
Yes, for your own safety first, but due to the Greek traffic law and regulations and our insurance company, both the driver and passenger are required to wear a certified helmet at all times when you ride our motorcycles. We provide you helmets free of charge.
A rental from Motorplan includes:
A valid driver’s license must be provided from the country where the license was issued.
For Non European residents, an International driver’s license is required.
Only experienced drivers 23 years of age or older are allowed to rent or drive a motorcycle. We recommend at least two years of experience on a motorcycle.
A refundable security deposit required: 50 euro for small scooters and 100 euro for larger motorcycles is required at the time of rental. The deposit will be refunded when the rental is returned provided that the vehicle is in the same condition as when it was rented.
